As the money slows so does the spending. In America we overconsume. Everyone lives beyond their means and when a economic slow down hits people feel the effects. I learned a good lesson in my life that you should never buy something you can't afford. That means that unless I have 10 times the money saved that it costs to buy that Mercedes I'm not going to buy it.The economic slowdown is a good reality check for all of us who have an addiction to luxury that we just can't afford. It isn't good for the luxury brand companies as their profits have slowed. Overall I think it is a good reality check for all of us. Maybe lessons will be learned but most likely they won't once things turn around again. Check the article.
