CLEAR CHANNEL BOUGHT OUT FOR $17.9 BILLION


Shareholders of Clear Channel agreed to a buyout by a private equity firm to the tune of $17.9 Billion. CClear Channel is the largest owner of full-power AM, FM and shortwave radio stations twelve radio channels on XM Satellite, and is also the largest media company that focuses only on radio.(Source: Wikipedia). The station is hoping to have a smooth transition and maintain the success. These buyouts are getting out of control!
