Music Video shoot for "Dirty" in Houston!
I had a blast shooting a music video for my next single, "Dirty" in Houston last week. It was an interesting experience and one of few videos I've done to date, but I think it will be hot. LAST NIGHT'S SHOW IN HOUSTON!
Wow. Last night's show at the Candy Lounge in Houston took a major turn when J. Prince of Rap-A-Lot Records - a legend in Hip-Hop - showed up specifically to see Mekka Don perform! After the show he told Mekka Don that he thought the music was hot, and he and his crew (of 8000! lol) left as soon as Mekka Don left the stage. Also major shout out to Derrick Ward of the Houston Texans in the building! Major shout outs to V, Chris, and Nelly Fab for holding me down too. The labels may not be paying attention yet, but ESPN sure is. ESPN has just licensed more of Mekka Don's music for its 2011-2012 college football season. Music will be available for download on ITUNES soon! "As an unsigned artist, in an industry where record sales are down, you have to constantly find creative ways to not only get your music heard, but receive some compensation for it.
